Who We Are

AML-Connect is a shared online platform for Pennsylvania abandoned mine land and acid mine drainage knowledge, coordination, and support. It is administered by the Eastern Pennsylvania Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation (EPCAMR). You can reach us at [email protected].

Information We Collect

When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, username, and any profile information you choose to provide — including your organization, role, and network segment. When you use the platform, we collect information about your activity such as forum posts, group membership, and resource submissions. We also collect standard technical data including IP addresses and browser information for security and analytics purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Information You Share Publicly

Forum posts, group activity, and your member profile are visible to other registered members of AML-Connect. Your username is associated with your public posts. If you would like to post anonymously or have a post removed, contact us at [email protected].

Cookies and Analytics

AML-Connect uses cookies for session management and to keep you logged in. We use Google Analytics (via MonsterInsights) to understand how the platform is used. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Forum posts and group contributions may remain on the platform after account deletion unless you specifically request their removal. Contact us to request deletion of your account or content.

Third-Party Services

AML-Connect links to external resources, maps, and platforms operated by third parties including PA DEP, OSMRE, SRBC, and other network organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Children’s Privacy

AML-Connect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of AML-Connect after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
