I think this General Discussion forum could really take off and branch off into different sub-topics, just like the AML Knowledge Base. Creating this post was really easy, and I checked the box to notify me of follow-up replies via email
I can see different individuals/groups interested in talking to each other here about diverse topics:
AML and AMD Basics
Watershed Tools and Methods
Organizational Development
Policy and Governance
AML Reclamation & AMD Treatment
Environmental Education
Community Development
AML Network
And more…
Then, once posted on AML-connect.org, it will be searchable. We can share knowledge and not feel like we have to “re-create the wheel” for every AML/AMD project. We can share boilerplate policies that work for our organizations and funding sources.
We want to encourage the sharing of information! I can see this as the Reddit of the AML community.
Once we get several members, we can request friendship with other members and can talk to each other privately if we need to collaborate on a topic before sharing it with the AML world.
