AML-Connect depends on contributions from practitioners across the PA AML/AMD network. This article explains how to submit materials — whether documents, templates, photos, videos, or maps — through the resource intake workflow.
How to Submit
All submissions — resources and media alike — use the same intake form:
- Go to https://aml-connect.org/submit-resource/
- Complete the form: title, source organization, date created, a brief description (two to three sentences), and the file or URL
- In the description, note what type of file it is — document, photo, video, map, etc. — so admin can route it correctly
- Check the rights/permission box confirming you have the right to share the material
- Submit — admin will review within the weekly maintenance cycle and contact you if clarification is needed
What Happens After You Submit
Admin will review your submission and:
- Confirm the file type and route it to Resources or Media
- Rename the file to site naming conventions
- Enter it in the appropriate database (resource database or media library)
- Upload it to the site and verify the link or file works
- Crosslink it from relevant KB articles
- Notify you when it is published
Recommendations
The most useful submissions are clearly titled, from a named source, current (within the last five years unless historical), and directly relevant to PA AML/AMD practice. The following types are particularly valuable to the network:
- O&M guides and maintenance fact sheets for passive treatment systems
- Watershed assessment templates and monitoring protocols
- Grant application guidance and program documentation
- Site photos and treatment system photos with location context
- Training materials and presentation decks from workshops or exchanges
